WORK EXPERIENCE;

20/09/05 - current: Wakefield College, Wakefield.
Position: Assistant teacher. Part-time teaching and shadowing website-related courses. Teaching included explaining how to use PHP using Powerpoint presentations, handouts, and live examples. While shadowing I helped the teacher with ideas, comments, and by fixing some students’ problems.

06/09/04 - current: Wakefield and District Housing, Castleford.
Position: Purchasing assistant for housing maintenance services

*Inputting requisitions into the materials control system via the WinniX Blue software.
*Calling the maintenance supervisors to rectify any errors and then amend the records using WinniX.
*Amendments to orders as requested by creditors.
*Update price changes to contract bulk orders.
*Off-hire vehicles for depots and update transport orders.
*Download invoices, check prices, and create orders for card transactions.
*Sort and file away the requisitions after they’re authorized plus the ‘emergency call-out’ reports.
*When authorised orders and call-offs are printed in triplicate, sort them into three sections; finance, stores, and to mail to suppliers.
*Handle the incoming and outgoing post.
*General office duties; photocopying, faxing, printing, phones.

COMMENTS;

While at University I have been able to develop skills in web based and CDROM based digital production. I have furthered skills including dynamic database driven web sites utilizing HTML, PHP and MySQL, interactive web sites and games from Macromedia Flash and ActionScript, and CDROM presentations produced in Macromedia Director using the Lingo programming language.
I have also gained skills in graphics editing software including Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Fireworks and Paint Shop Pro. I currently make use of Adobe Photoshop software and dynamic web site development skills in the development and continuation of my online web comic.
